2009: Having completed DRAGONBOARD® projects in Miami-Dade Airport, Orlando Airport, Miami Beach Hotel and the Brevard County Prison, we have opened a stocking distribution point in Orlando to better serve our ever-growing Florida customer base.

2009: Update: "Chinese Gypsum"Doubtless many of you have been following the news reports on the thousands of unwitting Florida homeowners victimized by the presence of so-called “Chinese Gypsum” in their homes. Here are some facts that need to be re-emphasized:

• “Chinese Gypsum” is neither DRAGONBOARD® nor Magnesium Oxide (MgO) of any type. In fact, “Chinese Gypsum” is not even gypsum.
• “Chinese Gypsum” or “Synthetic Gypsum” was hastily imported into the Gulf region, after Hurricane Katrina, by builders seeking a cheap substitute for drywall, which was in short supply.
• “Chinese Gypsum” is actually a by-product of coal combustion. It is untested and hazardous and should never have been permitted to enter US ports, let alone be used in homes where our children play.
• Not only is the Magnesium Oxide used in DRAGONBOARD®, not a health risk, MgO is actually prescribed for the treatment of such diseases as: Parkinson’s and diabetes, as well as for cardiovascular and prostate ailments.
• While we make no health claims for DRAGONBOARD®, we are committed to providing the highest quality, most extensively-tested MgO available anywhere. We are especially proud to be the only UL tested MgO panel.
• DRAGONBOARD® continues to be the construction panel of choice by design professionals seeking protection from water, fire, mold, fungus and insects. DRAGONBOARD® is always asbestos and formaldehyde free and emits no gases or VOCs.

DRAGONBOARD® USA understands recent concerns about the so called "Chinese Drywall"or "Chinese Gypsum" plaguing thousands of Florida homeowners. 2009: America’s Team – The Dallas Cowboys – is building a state-of-the-art, 3 story building at their practice facility in Irving, Texas. After careful research, the Cowboys organization selected DRAGONBOARD®, for the exterior sheathing of the structure. They needed a sheathing that would provide a high impact, moisture/insect/mold resistant wall, capable of withstanding the extremes of Texas weather. In addition, DRAGONBOARD®, was used for ceiling panels in the 3rd story- which is open air –providing a ceiling that will be unfazed by the elements. A tough product for a tough environment!

2007: DRAGONBOARD®, announced the introduction of DRAGONBOARD®, Ceiling Tiles. These MgO Ceiling Tiles are Fire, Mold and Moisture proof. DRAGON TILES are available in 24"x 24"x 3/8" or 1/4" sizes. 2006: DRAGONBOARD®, US submitted standard 9/16" and 11/16" DRAGONBOARD®, construction panels to Southwest Research Institute's Fire Technology Department for additional testing. These tests are designed to measure Floor/Ceiling fire protection as required by New York City's Housing Preservation Dept. Tests require a 2-Hour fire separation over wood framing (wood is common in many of NYC's historic and non-historic edifices. DRAGONBOARD®, exceeded the 2 hour requirement, withstanding temperature exceeding 1850 degrees F.

2005: DRAGONBOARD US became the only Magnesium Oxide construction panel to pass Underwriter Laboratory's tests for 1-1/2, 2 and 3 hour fire separation.
